The team of researchers from the UK compared 94 women who had cesarean section 5 times or more, with 175 women who delivered by cesarean section less than 5 times.

Women of groups who often perform cesarean section are more susceptible to bleeding before, during, and after childbirth. They are also have higher risk of getting blood transfusion, premature delivery, and intensive care.

Major obstetric haemorrhage in those who perform repeated caesarean reaches 18 percent compared, while the other group only 0.6 percent. Risks of blood transfusion was also 17 percent higher.
